Daniel GutmanRaised in Dallas, Texas, I was born with a desire to travel and explore. As I got older, I coupled this with my need to connect with my roots and history as a person as well as a member of the Jewish people. I studied Jewish studies in college, and, upon graduation, realized my lifelong dream and moved to Israel. Within those first few months my passion for the Land and the people of Israel led me to become an Aliyah counselor for the organization Nefesh B'Nefesh. Having "made aliyah" myself as well as having counseled thousands of North American Jews on their move to Israel, I am confident that I can take you on a life-changing journey through the land of Israel's past as well as its future. I am a licensed tour guide through Israel's Ministry of Tourism. Additionally, I was selected for Isralight's prestigious Orayta Fellowship for Jewish Education and Leadership. I currently specialize in private tours, with a focus on Jewish history, archaeology, and geopolitics. Walking with a Tanach (Bible) in hand, I will bring it to life in the very spots in which its events occurred. I live in the Jerusalem area with my wife, Sara and our six children, where just walking my kids to school I am walking in the footsteps of my forefathers

Some of the Exciting Places I've Been!
Maktesh RimonThe makhteshim, looking like enormous basins opened up among the Negev ranges, are a natural phenomenon which is unique in the world. The 40-km long Makhtesh Ramon is the largest and most impressive, and visitors are provided a glimpse of the magic and secrets of the desert.
As you stand on the rim of the makhtesh, the beautiful and impressive desert scenery is spread out before you. However, it is recommended not just to settle for a wonderful view, but to actually get into it - to go down into the makhtesh, to learn its pathways and unique sites close up and to enjoy the "window" which it opens into the ancient geological worlds of fossils, colorful sands, volcanic rocks, and more. |
Ein GediEin Gedi, just aside the Dead Sea in the Judean Desert, not too far from Jerusalem, is one of Israel’s premier hiking spots, featuring spectacular beauty, varied landscapes, and botanical gardens. There’s no doubt that Ein Gedi Nature Reserve is one of the most beautiful places in Israel. While it is located close to Jerusalem, it feels worlds away, Ein Gedi is, of course, one of the most popular escape spots for locals and tourists who take advantage of the reserve, botanical gardens, and the Dead Sea.
